Our fearless leader lives and breathes Indian above all other things automotive. In fact, Mark may very well be the most knowledgeable and respected Indian motorcycle expert in North America. An avid rider and well-known automotive service guru, Mark was Owner & General Manager of Indian Motorcycle Toledo until 2003. His enduring Indian love affair led him to a position at the "new" Indian Motorcycle Company at Kings Mountain before opening Indian Motorcycle Charlotte. His quick mind and contagious passion for excellence inspires the culture at Indian Motorcycle Charlotte. Mark is reason America's First Indian Dealer is also a Top 100 Dealer two years running and the most successful Indian dealer in the world.
MIKE STERANKO - Service & Parts Manager
Mike knows motorcycles and Indians and brings a unique and varied background to Indian Motorcycle Charlotte. Born into a military family (but not a brat he claims), he’s lived in PA, AL,TX, and HI. In a former life, Mike was a GM technician before embracing his first love--motorcycles. He became an H-D Master Tech for 12 years before his enlightened conversion to Indian motorcycles in 1999. He’s been riding for over 30 years, owns a 1952 Panhead and is building a custom 2000 Indian while studying Machine Technology. Mike is our resident expert on securing hard-to-find parts. If there's any part or accessory you need, give Mike a call.
UPDATE: DAVE BALLARD – Lead Service Technician
As some may know, Dave was called to Active Military Duty early in 2010 and will be serving our country for the next year or so. We are incredibly proud of Dave's commitment and wish him a safe journey and speedy return home.
Dave is a devoted gearhead. A native of New Orleans, he specialized in electronics in the Navy and came to Charlotte in 1994 as an IT Professional. But his lifelong love of motorcycling led him to follow his passion. He finished Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in Orlando at the top of his class. As a gifted Master Technician, there’s not a V-Twin problem he can't solve. Dave was a tech with H-D for several years and completed all required PHD training through Master of Chassis. Dave has 35+ years of riding, racing and wrenching experience (since age 14), and currently owns 5 bikes of British, German and American ancestry.
WILL WAGONER – Master Technician
Our very talented technician--Will Wagoner--is originally from Mansfield, Ohio, pretty close to the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Circuit. He has always been fascinated by mechanical things. After voc school where he trained in automotive repair, Will joined the U.S. Air Force for 4 years, working as a technician. His love of motorcycles led him to study at the highly respected Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in Orlando, where he (like Dave Ballard) finished first in his class. He moved to North Carolina in 2006 and we are thrilled to have him as part our Indian team. Along the way, he acquired a 1990 H-D Electra-Glide which he still rides today. Will is a great asset for Indian Motorcycle Charlotte and stands ready to meet any of your American V-Twin service needs.
